About Me

Background

  • Hi, I’m Avery Sriyaranya! I was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and spent much of my childhood immersed in the warmth and culture of my Thai grandmother, who played a big role in shaping who I am today. I have a loving Mom, Dad, and Sister
  • I went to Burleson Highschool followed by Stephen F. Austin State University where I pursued a Bachelors in Finance. I now work in Finance at a brokerage firm and enjoy educating peers and clients on market trends and purchasing strategies.
  • Sports have always been a cornerstone of my life. I played soccer passionately from the age of 3 all the way to 23. In March of 2022, I discovered volleyball, and it quickly became a new love and focus for me.
  • Volleyball became a part of my identity very quickly. Nicole and I both moved from Fort Worth with no friends and needed to find a way to begin our social life. We started like most playing a beer league 6s in March of 2022 and became obsessed.
  • After discovering the beauty that is Hannovers we spent every Friday and Sunday Nights We became obsessed and slowly work our ways into playing 2s and 3s with the help of Tania Lyerly and Chris Olds at 512 Beach, Simon Vand, Bri Bishop, Benjamin Nunes, and Charles Kumets, from City Limit Sports.

  • Now fully obsessed with the love from the community and the urge to compete, I have set up a place for fun formats and cash prizes for ballers to ball.
  • My journey hasn’t been without challenges. After undergoing three knee surgeries and facing difficulties with walking for a long time, I’ve learned to appreciate resilience and the strength it takes to rebuild. These experiences have shaped my perspective and fueled my determination in both sports and life.
  • Outside of volleyball, I share my life with my amazing girlfriend, Nicole, and our three wonderful dogs. When I’m not on the court, you’ll find me enjoying my other passions: running, reading, lifting weights, playing board games, or diving into good music.

Thanks for coming along!
